Reporting to: Design Team Leader
Duties & Responsibilities:
To obtain all information related to the project from external (Contractors, Architects, etc.), and internal sources (Production, Experts), in order to produce clear and accurate plans, elevation, section drawings, shop drawings (with minimum or no errors).
To read and understand the Contract Specification Documents and Contract Drawings.
To make sure Structural Checks done for all necessary components (Glass, Aluminum Mullions, Transoms, Brackets, etc.)
To make sure that the Shop Drawings are drawn in accordance with Architectural / Structural requirements and in line with approved BOQ.
To maintain the necessary specifications for standard and non-standard constructions. (I.e. Brackets, Fixing Details, and Interface Details, etc.)
To suggest design solutions according to Architects conceptual details and requirements.
To carry out drafting work timely and in appropriate manner (i.e. maintaining quality and productivity).
To take necessary corrective steps / measures, if problem occurred in fabrication or on site.
To coordinate and provide necessary assistance to factory and site.
To coordinate and provide necessary information for pre-ordering of materials to Material Coordinator and Purchase Department in time to meet the project schedule.
To attend design meetings, team meetings, and coordination meetings, and as well as prepare notes for record and maintain.
To maintain discipline within the team, and find ways to improve the quality, productivity and performance.
Responsible to carry out design and drafting works within the given program.
To assist estimators and provide design concept sketches / drawings for tenders.
