In a new development aimed to service the increasingly sophisticated Gulf Market, Al Abbar Tempering have invested in a state of the art bending and tempering system.
Heat treated curved on plane glass, up to a maximum size of 2200 X 3500mm can now be supplied from Al Abbar's Al Awir facility to world class quality, complementing the top quality flat tempered and heat strengthened glass already being supplied by Al Abbar tempering.

Bended Glass
Until this time Tempered and Heat Strengthened bent glass has only been available from certain producers in Europe and the USA. The cost of this glass has been prohibitive, as well as the high cost of producing curved-on-plan in heat treated form, the added cost of shipment and high risk of breakage or rejection has made this architectural feature an expensive proposition.

Top quality bent glass from Al Abbar Tempering will now allow architects the freedom to design with curves economically and with greatly reduced delivery periods. Glasses which Al Abbar Tempering will be able to curve include:
1. Clear and tinted float glasses.
2. Pyrolitic coated reflective float glasses.
3. Post temperable coated float glasses.
4. Low E glasses.
5. Ceramic printed glasses. (Al Abbar has a large ceramic silk screen facility)
