Emirates Towers

The Emirates Towers complex contains the Emirates Office Tower and Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel skyscrapers, respectively the 12th (355 m, 1163 ft) and the 29th (309 m, 1014 ft) tallest currently-standing structures in the world[1], and a 9,000 m² (96,875 ft²) two story retail complex known as The Boulevard connecting the two towers. The complex is located on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The sister towers are a symbol of Dubai City.

A curiosity of the design is that the towers have a similar number of floors (Office Tower: 54 floors, Hotel: 56 floors); the individual floor heights of the office tower are greater than that of the hotel.

Emirates Towers is set in over 570,000 m² (42 acres) of gardens, complete with lakes, waterfalls, public seating areas and with parking space for up to 1800 cars.

This project involves a total exterior building envelope of 50,000m2 split into approximately 30,000m2 of aluminium composite cladding and 20,000m2 of unitised curtain walling.

Atrium Wall
The Atrium wall is a fully unitised thermally broken curtain wall system supported by stainless steel tubular structures. The unitised curtain wall system employs principles of drain joint pressure equalisation.

Skylight
The skylight consists of a space frames with triangular IGU's, restrained with a circular stainless steel disc at each node point.
