Located on the Emirates Road and Tripoli Street, Mirdiff City Center is a 500,000-square-metre mall offering 183,400 square meters of gross leasable area and 430 retail outlets with eight anchor stores- one of which will be supermarket chain Carrefour, a 14-screen cinema and a food court. It is one of the largest shopping malls being built in Dubai today along with a mall in Dubai Land’s City of Arabia and the expansion of Al Ghurair City in Deira. An estimated AED 2,600 million ($708 million) contract is set for Mirdiff City Centre expected to be completed by the 4th quarter of 2009. Al Abbar will be providing the mall’s roof lights, associated frameworks and glazed screens.
