Insights
Mankhool Project consists of 4 Towers – Office, Residential, Hotel Apartment and Residential; each Tower was designed and delivered as a bespoke system.
A range of different systems, Unitized Curtain Wall, Stick Curtain Wall, Aluminium Composite cladding, Aerofoil Louvers, Fire-rated partitions & Doors, were designed and delivered for this project
The main challenge for this project was to develop a workable program, delivery, and installation approach that would allow the simultaneous delivery of all 4 Towers.
ACP cladding was done with Weather sealant based on NFPA 285 assembly test and the backer rod has been replaced with the Aluminium backing channel on which Weather sealant was done.
Drop-off Ceiling & GF Canopy were developed with a special natural stone design using ACP cladding.
The external wall Aluminium Sheet cladding was completed with a special kind of sublimation coating c Al Abbar Group coating division which gives a patinated and rustic wall panel finish.
A 600mm wide Aerofoil, made up of Aluminium Extrusion and cold-bent Aluminium sheet, was installed above the MEP equipment area in the podium.
A special frit design was completed on the unitised curtain wall system which was 2m wide including V-shaped aluminium fins with lighting. Fire-rated Doors, Fire Rated Partitions, and Fire Rates hinged windows in the corridor area have been installed with Al Abbar Group Dubai Civil Defenceapproved systems. Fire Rated materials were supplied by FORSTER and Fire Rated glass was supplied by SG VETROTECH. Fire Rated systems were all manufactured and installed by the Al Abbar Group installation team.
