Overview
Mall of the Emirates is the world’s first shopping resort, in the heart of Dubai.
It features about 630+ brands, in an area of 233,467 sqm. It includes department stores, fashion, and lifestyle. It also has sports, electronics, home furnishing, and the largest Carrefour in the city.
Insights
Fashion Dome
Al Abbar Group provided this 40m diameter x 20m high Glazed Dome (IGU) with pre-assembled steel frames erected as one full-dome steel structure at the site. Faceted glazing from outside onto inner EPDM corner vulcanized gasket frames, glass units are fixed with pressure plates and outer weather defence line at glass joints is sealed by Butyl tapes.
The internal & External Mobile Gantry (BMU) is connected to a circular base – and top track.
The Steel Frames, Ribs Cladding and Aluminum Decorative Panels ( in verdigre copper colour ) show the unique design of Mall of The Emirates Skylights.
