Insights

Skylight:

Al Abbar Group provided painted pre-assembled steel units in different shapes and sizes with a hooking system installed at a sub-frame with adjustable supporting pins.

The installation team conducted glazing from outside onto vulcanized gasket frames, fixed pressure plates at mullions, and toggles along with transoms. The outer line of water defense is a continuous wet applied sealant along the glass joints.

The system is pressure equalized, ventilated and condensation is drained from transoms/ mullions to outer roof gutters.

The glass units with outer fully tempered glass (eat soak tested) and inner laminated HST glass are walkable for maintenance and cleaning purposes.

Fall Arrest ropes are supported by special brackets fixed with thermal breaks onto the façade frame and sealed to the cladding.
