Located in the heart of the prestigious Downtown Dubai is The Dubai Mall, the most-visited retail and entertainment destination, which welcomes more than 80 million visitors annually. The Dubai Mall offers an unparalleled retail variety combined with world-class dining, entertainment, and leisure attractions. The Fashion Avenue, the precinct dedicated to over 150 new luxury shopping and dining experiences, positions The Dubai Mall as the fashion capital for the Middle East. Another niche component is The Souk, an elegantly designed precinct featuring jewelry shops, accessory outlets, traditional Arab clothing brands, handicraft stores, cafés, and restaurants.
Al Abbar Group provided painted pre-assembled steel units in different shapes and sizes with a hooking system installed at a sub-frame with adjustable supporting pins.
The installation team conducted glazing from outside onto vulcanized gasket frames, fixed pressure plates at mullions, and toggles along with transoms. The outer line of water defense is a continuous wet applied sealant along the glass joints.
The system is pressure equalized, ventilated and condensation is drained from transoms/ mullions to outer roof gutters.
The glass units with outer fully tempered glass (eat soak tested) and inner laminated HST glass are walkable for maintenance and cleaning purposes.
Fall Arrest ropes are supported by special brackets fixed with thermal breaks onto the façade frame and sealed to the cladding.
